Creating a deck from data

You can build a deck from the material you already have — a spreadsheet, a PDF brief, notes in Word — without copying everything through another chatbot and pasting it back.

If PowerSlide isn’t installed yet, start with Installing the add-in.

Steps

  1. Open a blank presentation (or a starter file with your template).

  2. In the PowerSlide panel, attach your files — or paste a short brief into the chat.

  3. Describe the result you want and who will read it, for example:

Turn the Q3 spreadsheet and the one-page brief into an 8-slide memo for the investment committee. Put a comparison table on slide 5.

  4. Watch PowerSlide edit the open file. You can stop at any time.

  5. Keep chatting to refine: split a crowded slide, fix titles, match a template, or ask for a review before you send.

What you can attach

Each file can be up to 25 MB. Common types:

Spreadsheets are good for tables and charts. Documents are good for the story. Another deck is useful when you want to reuse structure or styling. Images can be placed on slides or used as a sketch to interpret.

If a spreadsheet has several tabs, say which one to use: “Use the Actuals sheet, columns Region and Revenue.”
If you don’t want numbers invented, say so: “Only use figures from the spreadsheet. If something is missing, tell me.”

If a change went wrong, hover your message and choose Revert deck to undo that step. For public facts that aren’t in your files, see Web search. If you run out of credits, see pricing.
